Indonesia and Vietnam signed an agreement concerning continental shelf boundary in the South China Sea on 11 June 2003. Indonesia ratified the agreement on 15 March 2007 through the Law No. 18/2007. The Agreement consists of six points where two points coincide with point 20 and 25 agreed by Indonesia and Malaysia in 1969. These two points are the initial and terminal points of Indonesia-Vietnam continental shelf boundary line.
